John Thomasson's involvement with TreesUnion stems from his initiative to promote tree planting in communities. In 2017, while working as an HR Director for Pilgrim's Corporation, John launched a program that has since resulted in the planting of over 8,000 trees across seven states. The program includes educational components for school children, combining environmental awareness with hands-on planting experiences.

 

John's professional background is diverse, with a bachelor's degree in Accounting, a master's in Romance Languages, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Arizona. His career has included management roles in finance and quality, as well as director and VP positions in Human Resources. Though retired, John continues to manage the tree-planting program along with other charitable activities while also enjoying time with his grandchildren.
